Re: question of surface square inches.?

I understand the reply I received, and thanks. but what i'm trying to streamline is figuring out surface square in. on things like. ( for instance ) 5ft. tube made of 1/2 in steel with a 4 in. dia. what would the total surface be inside , outside and on the ends ?
