With all the hype of Phillip Rivers being considered for MVP, can't you say the same for Aaron Rodgers then?

I'm not buying the hype with Phillip Rivers winning MVP. They're practically still in the worst division and Aaron Rodgers has identical numbers. If it weren't for the Packers defense, they would maybe have one loss. All the losses for the Packers came with Rodgers still putting up around 25 points or more a game. Rivers is playing great, but I think people have forgotten what Brees has done all season regardless of cooling off slightly. Peyton looks like a front runner, but I think Aaron Rodgers has played just as well. Anyone else agree?
