Carpet extractor modified to also clean air ducts and chimneys. Is this possible?

I'm a do it your selfer. I was looking into buying a used commercial carpet extractor for home use and found one for sale by an individual which was modified to also clean chimneys and air vents. He says it has microfilters to prevent contaminants from leaving the vacuum. Is this too good to be true?
