How can you tell if a speaker is blown out, or if the channel from the stereo deck is damaged?

Will are they aftermarket speakers? If so try to revere the wires see if this helps. If it makes it worse then it most likely the speaker has gone bad.If there factory then it's blown. I hope this will help you .
