How do i keep acrylic ear plugs clean?

ive been using acrylic ear plugs/taper from 12g to currently 2g and ive been cleaning them with 70% isopropyl alcohol pads and petroleum jelly as lubricant. ive learned that alcohol causes it to crack because its porous and also ive started using jojoba oil instead of vasaline. should i stop using the oil because its porous or should i ume that using both evens it out. if not what should i clean it with and is oil an ok lubricant or will it hold bacteria?
