I told a really, really close friend...and now I'm confused?

Okay, I told a really, really close friend (might as well be considered a best friend) that I like him about a month ago. Well, he was super excited and whatever because he said that he felt the same way. However, we only texted each other or talked on the phone, the only time that we hung out was when our other friends got everyone together (they didn't know about the situation bcuz me n my crush's 3rd tripod leg also crushed on me). Now, he rarely texts and we rarely talk on the phone...but he says he likes me. Maybe, I'm just used to the type who will go all out, but we used to talk all the time. So, is it just me? Did I expect something impossible? Because I'm doubting that he actually likes me... I'm forcing myself to move on..What do you think I should do?
