If the Big Bang Theory did not bolster an Old Earth viewpoint, would many Christians bother to denounce it?

The Big Bang does not necessarily infer an old earth. There is much evidence that the true age of our universe is nowhere near either side's opinions on the matter. Everything in science, especially with regards to the big bang, biology, physics and quantum mechanics proves or points to intelligent design. I swear. Research it for yourself, and see. I don't see how alot of scientists can look at things like dna or adaptability of species or the "singularity" issue with the big bang and not be able to see what is so obvious
