Is belief that science & reason can create a utopian society, equally delusional as belief in the Rapture?

If you believe that science is delusional I trust you aren't using science stuff like a computer, the internet, radios and televisions, electricity, cars and buses, or even drugs and medication when you are ill? That would be hypocritical of you if you take advantage of delusional things.
